Stop-motion animation
A stop-motion animation reflecting on ideas of 'Home', and how we build these from childhood to adulthood.
An experimental stop-motion film, directed and animated by Alanna Freeman, as part of an MA in Communication Design: Illustration. The animation considers ideas of 'Home'; what does it look like for a generation of young people in the UK, whose dreams of climbing the property ladder often don't match the reality of the housing market? What does home look like for a generation of young people in the UK (and elsewhere), whose dreams of climbing the property ladder often don't match their real experience of the housing market?
My very first foray into animation in 2015, this short experimental film was created as part of my Masters programme, answering a brief to research and create Narratives.
The version shown here is a revised edit.
